The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 24, 1986, p. 10 Nancy E. White, 57, wife of former St. Alban Episcopal Church pastor the Rev. William D. White, of Rockland, Maine, died unexpectedly at their residence April 1. White was born in Meadville, Pa., on March 28, 1929 to the Rev. Harold B. and Hildred Babcock Adams. She received her elementary education in Michigan, earned a bachelor's degree at Daniel Baker College in Brownwood,Texas and a master's degree in library science from Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. She worked as assistant librarian at the Rockland Public Library. She married the Rev. White Sept. 22, 1956 in Vermont and they served the following Episcopal parishes: St. John's Church, Shady Side, Md., 1957; the Church of the Ascension, Westminister, Md., 1957-66; St. Alban, Wickenburg, 1966-69; St. Paul's Church, Brunswick, Maine, 1969-74; St. Michael's Church, Geneseo, N.Y., 1974-77; St. Andrew's Church, Millinocket, Maine, 1977-81 and have been in Rockland since 1980. In her lifetime White has taught Sunday school for over 40 years and was an officer and member of the Episcopal Women's Guild at her church as well as chapter regent of Lady Knox, Daughter of the American Revolution, Rockland. She is survived by her husband, of Rockland; four sons, Paul C. White, of Dresden, Maine, Patrick A. White, of Bangor, Maine, Michael F. White, of West Bath, Maine and Mark F. White of North Edgecomb, Maine; one daughter, Elizabeth White, of Hope, Maine; two brothers, the Rev. Richard B. Adams, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Harold B. Adams, of Elkhart, Ind., and three grandchildren. Memorial services were April 4 at St. Peter's and the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church memorial Fund, P.O. Box 457, Rockland, Maine 04841, in lieu of flowers.
