John B. Wright, better known as “Big John,” went home to be with the Lord July 24, 2010.
John was born Oct. 29, 1948, in Herrin, Ill. He moved to Lake Havasu City six years ago and enjoyed the beauty of the state of Arizona. John will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Some of John’s favorite activities were to spend time with family and friends and drive his red Camaro that he waited so long to have. The most important things in his life were his two granddaughters, Madison, 3 years old, and Olivia, 1 month old. His love for them could be seen above all else by those who knew him.
John was a longtime member of the U.A.W. through Electromotive. He also served his country with the U.S. Army.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, along with other family members. John’s deep voice and soft heart will never be forgotten and will always bring a smile to all those he knew.
John is survived by his daughter, Tina Braniger; son-in-law, Butch Braniger; and granddaughters, Madison Braniger and Olivia Braniger.
John had requested no services, to be cremated, and his ashes spread with Ginny.
