JIMENEZ, Luis Francisco, Sr.


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, July 21, 2010 Luis Francisco Jimenez Sr., 55, died July 14 at Wickenburg Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Jimenez was born Aug. 24, 1954, in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, to Gregorio and Teresa Jimenez. He first came to the United States in 1984 and made Wickenburg his home in 1989. He worked at Parker Dairy Farms for 12 years and Benner-Nawman for 5 years. In the last five years of his life he was the face everyone knew at El Ranchero Restaurant. He enjoyed his role as Deputy Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus and was very active in the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He loved reading, meeting people, and sharing life stories. He will be missed greatly by his family and all those who knew him. Mr. Jimenez is survived by his wife Ycidora Jim/nez; sons Luis, Juan Carlos, Miguel, and Victor Jimenez; daughters-in-law Dulce and Beery Jimenez; grandchildren Jose Luis and Brisa; father Gregorio Jimenez and nine siblings - David, Rafael, Jose Alfredo, Martin, Maria Asuncion Jimenez, and Trinidad Valdivia, Maria del Refugio Garcia, Maria del Carmen Padron and Teresa Galindo. He was preceded in death by his mother Teresa Garcia Campos de Jimenez and his brother Lucio Jimenez. A service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg, Ariz. Reverend George E. Highberger officiated. Arrangements were made by Wickenburg Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be donated in his name to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 232 N.
