MERRILL, Eva Julia

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Eva Julia Merrill, 89 of Lake Montezuma, AZ. passed away July 18, 2010. She was born July 30, 1920 in Vernal, Utah to the late Sanford and Elvira (Rasmussen) Green. Eva worked several years as a secretary at Freemont Jr. High School, and worked to put her husband through law school. After their retirement they moved to Lake Montezuma where they had lived for twenty-two years prior to his death. She was a lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Eva is survived by her children, Kurt Merrill (Sharon) of Mesa, Lisa Russell of Mesa, and Karen Gardner of Lindon, Utah; her brother Theodore Green; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John and son, Brian Merrill. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 422 East University Drive in Mesa, Arizona with a visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the City of Mesa Cemetery. Bueler Camp Verde Funeral Home assisted the family. Information provided by survivors.
