RILEY, Dell Leo, Sr.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/23/2010 Dell Leo Riley Sr., 79, died at his home in Whiteriver July 19, 2010. Dell worked as a military police officer for the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed many activities which included bowling, fishing, outdoor work, watching old western television shows, wrestling, telling jokes and making people smile. Dell also loved his family very much. He has been married to Virginia C. Riley of Whiteriver for 61 years. Dell is survived by his wife and eight children: William (Silva) Riley of Whiteriver, Arthur (Cindy) Riley of Whiteriver, David (Beatrice) Riley of Phoenix, Regina Thompson of Phoenix and Sandra Thompson of Phoenix; 42 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dell was preceded in death by three sons Dutch Riley, Presidore Thompson and Dell Riley Jr. and daughter Dale Riley. A wake will be held at their home in Whiteriver Friday, July 23, at 8:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24 at noon at the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor and Whiteriver.
