The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/23/2010 Wanda Telitha Locklear, 89, died just as the sun was rising Sunday, July 18, 2010, at her home in Overgaard with her husband at her side. She was born June 22, 1921, in Comanche, Comanche County, Okla. to the late Grover and Effie (Royston) Huntley. Wanda moved to Arizona four years ago and was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family. Wanda loved the Lord and was very active in her Church. She and her husband were pastors in Texas and New Mexico. She loved to play the piano and the guitar. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Adron Thomas "A.T." Locklear of Overgaard, Arizona; daughter: JoAnne (David) Garvin of Overgaard; son Tommy (Pat) Locklear of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Clemmie Bugg of Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Private family services will be held; however, her family would like to acknowledge everyone for their expressions of sympathy through thought and deed.
