LEACH,
Trevor John
The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/23/2010
Trevor John Leach left his loved ones and this life July 16, 2010, at the young age of 22, while camping with his family in the Big Lake recreation area, something he loved dearly. Trevor was born April 18, 1988 in Snowflake. He attended school in Snowflake until his last year of high school, where he then went to Gateway Charter School in Mesa.
Trevor had a passion for reptiles, skateboarding and especially his Honda Civic, but nothing more than the love he had for his family. He also loved camping, fishing, hunting, video games, movies and fast cars. His goal in life was to become a specialty mechanic for Honda cars, but unfortunately will never see that dream fulfilled. He was a kind, loving soul that would always help a friend or family member in need. He worked at Northland Pioneer College in the Printing and Duplicating department and occasionally with his brother doing custom rock work.
Trevor is survived by his mother JoAnn Barnes-Slocum (David Slocum) of Taylor; father Gary Leach (Michele King) of Snowflake; grandfathers Thomas Barnes of Phoenix and John (Jack) Ellis of Sun City West.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Merry Barnes and Delores (Dee) Ellis; brothers Gabriel Barnes of Snowflake and Ryan Leach of Bellingham, Wash.; sisters Fonta Lena Wenger of Mesa, Misty Wenger of Tempe and Jasmine Romero of Taylor; niece Chrystal Barnes; nephew Szoren Yanez, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Trevor will be dearly missed by all!
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, at 5 p.m. at the Heritage Social Hall, 123 N. Main St. in Snowflake. An account has been set up in his name at the Snowflake Mills Credit Union, (928) 536-7484, for donations to offset funeral expenses.
