The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 10, 1986, p. 10 Carl M. Black, 60, of Wickenburg, died July 3 in Phoenix. He was born May 9, 1926, in Roby, Ind. Black and his wife, Marie, have owned and operated the Bristol Motel on the Phoenix highway since 1970. He worked as a newspaper distributor for the Arizona Republic for 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Marie Black, of Wickenburg; one son, Owen Black, of Wickenburg; one daughter, Michelle Black, of Mesa; his mother, Stella Vandehoef, of Walkerton, Ind., and two sisters, Alice Johnson, of Indiana and Jeanette Carey, of Florida. Services were conducted at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on Saturday with the Rev. David Sharp officiating. Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
