The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/05/2007 Renee C. Cook, 57, of Wagon Wheel, died Sunday, Dec. 31, at her home. Ms. Cook was born Dec. 14, 1949 in Globe, the daughter of Verlie and LaVeta (Suite) Challis. She was raised in Globe and graduated from Miami High School in 1967. After graduation she worked for Navopache Electric Cooperative for 32 years. She enjoyed crocheting and was a wonderful singer who sang in her church choir. She had many wonderful friends and was a great mom and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Veta (Larry) Pedersen of Wagon Wheel; a son, Jay (Jenifer) of Pinetop; six grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Kaelee, Lane, Colton and Jensen; her father, Peck Challis of Wagon Wheel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 5 at High Country Church of Christ in Show Low. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. at Sedona Cemetery.
