BURKHART, Joseph Dean

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 9, 1986, p. 16 Joseph Dean Burkhart, 65, a longtime local businessman and resident, died Oct. 1 at Wickenburg Community Hospital. A retired mechanic, service station operator and resident of Wickenburg for 27 years, Burkhart was originally from Vinton, Iowa, where he was born Nov. 23, 1920. He is survived by his wife, Marge, of Wickenburg; one sons and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Sherri Burkhart, of Wickenburg; three grandchildren, Becky, Joe and Mike, all of Wickenburg; one brother, Wayne, of Vinton; one sister, Alice Cubbage, of Columbia, S. C and several nieces and nephews, out of state. Memorial services were Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Delbert Henderson officiating. The visitation was Oct. 3 in the funeral home chapel. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the National Arthritis Foundation.
