Warren Chester Willis, 83, of Wickenburg, died Oct 7 in Wickenburg Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 5, 1902, in Snowflake.
Willis moved to Wickenburg in 1931, worked for the highway department in road construction.
He was Town Marshall of Wickenburg from 1937 to 1941. He was previous owner/ operator of the Wickenburg Texaco Service Station. Willis also drilled water wells in Wickenburg and the surrounding area for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Fern E. Willis, of Wickenburg; three daughters, Ilene Hansen and Natalie Nathel Kirkham, both of Wickenburg and Sara Spigner, of Flagstaff; one son, Dwain R. Willis, of Glendale; one sister, Leora Fraser, of Phoenix; three brothers, Lester Willis and Larry Willis, both of Sun City and Art Willis, of Crescent City, Calif., 13 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 11 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wickenburg, Bishop Mike Underwood officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Wickenburg L. D. S. Church.
Arrangements were made by Wickenburg Funeral Home.
