SWINNEY, William Desota

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 20, 1986, p. 13 William Desota Swinney, 86, died Nov. 11 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1899 in Athens, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Swinney, of Wickenburg; two sons, Alton Swinney, of Bakersfield, Calif. and Jerry Swinney, of Ramona, Calif.; two granddauthers of Flagstaff; three sisters, out of state and numerous great-grandchildren. Swinney was a lineman for Arizona Public Service for 21 years and a was a miner in his younger days. He lived in Arizona for 51 years. Services were Nov. 14 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home, Pastor Victor Bedoian officiated. Interment was at the Wickenburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Wickenburg Community Hospital. Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
