HOVIS, John Sheldon, Jr.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 27, 1986, p. 7 John Sheldon Hovis, Jr., 52, of San Antonio, Texas died Nov. 19 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born Feb. 18, 1934, in Overton, Texas. Hovis attended grade school in Wickenburg when the school was located at Vulture Mine and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1952. He was a district manager for Circle K Stores in San Antonio, Texas and worked for Circle K in Texas, California and Arizona. He is survived by his mother, Ella Hovis, of Buckeye; his father, John Sheldon Hovis Sr., of Buckeye, Texas; one sister, Sandra Daniel and one niece, Stephanie Daniel, both of Sierra Vista. Services were Nov. 25 at the Wickenburg Cemetery, Dr. Bert Follmar officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
