The Daily Courier, Prescott, AZ Tuesday, August 03, 2010 Georgia Ann Davis, age 73, of Skull Valley, Ariz., passed away on Aug. 2, 2010, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Nov. 13, 1937, in Ionia, Mich. The family migrated from Michigan to settle in Wickenburg, Ariz., where Georgia attended and graduated from Wickenburg High School. She then completed two years of college to allow her the career of x-ray technician. Up until her retirement in 1991, Georgia worked at the VA hospital in that capacity. She also was the Yavapai coordinator for the Special Olympics for 10 years, receiving numerous awards for her efforts. Georgia was a good sport, spending many years traipsing across the country with her husband, Hank, during his bowling tour years. She loved life and everything about it. Georgia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Henry E. Davis; her children, Sharon Davis, William Davis, Henry Davis Jr., Robert Davis and Roger Davis; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Ruth Street in Prescott. The service for Georgia will immediately follow at 11 a.m. A private burial will follow in Skull Valley. A reception at the Church will be at 1:30 p.m. Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
