BECKER, Virginia (Sis)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/12/2007 Virginia "Sis" Becker, 80, died Jan. 7, 2007 at her home in Springerville. She was born July 21, 1926 to Grace and Bill Johnson in Blue. Sis was a loving wife and mother who loved her family. She was a local business woman having started the oldest real estate office in southeast Arizona. She ran Becker Lake for many years, was a certified drug abuse and alcohol counselor, held a beautician's license, baked all occasion cakes, ranched and had over 28 years of sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous. Sis was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gus E. Becker. She is survived by her two children, Gracie and Bud Becker; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Springerville.
