ROBERTS, Sandra Jean (Sandi)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ August 17, 2003 Sandra Jean Roberts Sandi Roberts, born October 23, 1941, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on August 15, 2003. Sandi was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and her friends. She was married to Garry D. (Rob) Roberts on January 20, 1961 in Riverside, California, and they enjoyed 42 years together. They were blessed with three sons, Robb, Joe and Danny, who loved her dearly. Sandi worked at Dillard's corporate office in Tempe, Arizona, where she had many close friends who treasured her friendship, wisdom and humor. But, being a Grandma was the thing she most enjoyed in life. Her love for all seven of her grandchildren: Justin, Derrick, Brandon, Britni, Erica, Ryan and Travis was endless. She lived for them, and in return they gave her some of the most wonderful moments in her life. Of all those who suffer the loss of Sandi, her grandchildren will miss her the most. Sandi is survived by her husband, Rob, her sons, Robb, Joe and Danny, her brothers, Bob Richards and Daniel Majetich, her sisters, Maryann Songer and Janet Eicher and her seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Richards Majetich, her father, Walter Richards, stepfather, Daniel Majetich and brother, Bill Richards. Viewing will take place Tuesday, August 19th, from 4-8 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens (480) 830-4422. Mass will be said in memory of Sandi on Wednesday, August 20th, 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
