Violet Matilda Tryggestad Skolos, 100, of Payson and formerly of Scottsdale, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 24, 2010.
She was at the Hospice Compassus facility in Payson, with family by her side when she went peacefully to her Heavenly home.
Mrs. Skolos was born Sept. 4, 1909 in Vernon County Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thore; grandchildren, Jon Fladhammer, Christopher Skolos and Daniel L. Skolos; six siblings; and parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana (Donald) Fladhammer of Payson; and son, Darel A. Skolos of LaCrosse Wis.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
All who knew Violet loved her for her kindness, consideration for others, patience, positive attitude, genuine caring, and her unending faith. Her family especially loved her, just as she so loved them.
A special thanks for the loving care she received at the Payson Care Center and the Hospice Compassus, writes her family.
Services are at 1 p.m., Friday, July 30 at Abiding Savior (Lutheran) Community Church in Tempe.
