The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/19/2007 James Stephen Chapple James Chapple, 37, of Chandler, died unexpectedly Jan. 13, 2007. He was born Sept. 14, 1969. James spent his early childhood in Huntington Beach, Calif. When he was 6 years old his family moved to Snowflake where they still reside today. James' list of accomplishments began at the young age of 13 when he received his Eagle Scout Award. After graduating from Snowflake High School in 1987, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington D.C. North Mission from 1988-1990. Upon return at the age of 21, he continued his education in Provo, Utah attending Brigham Young University. He married Shirley Allen from Burley, ID in the Mesa, AZ Temple Dec. 19, 1992. He graduated in 1995 with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Immediately following, he accepted a position as an Electrical Engineer with Intel Corporation in Chandler where he worked as a Computer Chip Set Architect. During this time he continued his education by obtaining a High Technology MBA with Arizona State University. He was a loving father and husband, son, a devoted brother, cousin, mentor, and friend. All who knew him, loved him. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Allen Chapple (Burley High School class of 1990), and five children, Megan, Sarah, Rachel, Douglas James, and Mariah; his parents, Lenard James Chapple and Marilyn McCleve Chapple of Snowflake; six siblings, Melanie Egbert (Lon) of Wendell, Idaho, Scott Chapple (Heather) of Albuquerque, N.M., Kevin Chapple (Merica) of Sahuarita, Stephanie Johnson (Jared) of Allen, Texas, Ryan Chapple of Provo, Utah, and Ashley Chapple of Snowflake. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tiffany Chapple. A public viewing will be held Friday Jan. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Bueler Mortuary 14 W. Hulet Dr. in Chandler. Services will commence the following morning at the LDS Stake Center on the SE corner of McQueen and Ray Rd. in Chandler. A short viewing will be held at 9 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Mike Ramsey Cemetery in Snowflake.
