The Reverend Dr. Charles Jerry Windsor, 74, of Springerville, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at White Mountain Regional Medical Center.
Jerry was born March 26, 1936, in Springerville to Jesse and Katherine Windsor and spent his early years on the family ranch near Red Hill. He later served in the Air Force, where he met and married Lois VanArsdale Jan. 20, 1957. After a successful career with AT&T, Jerry accepted his call to the ministry in 1973, attended Lousiville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and was ordained in Las Cruces, N.M. in 1979. For more than 30 years he has served as pastor in Dalton, Neb. (1979-1983); Portales, NM (1983-1996); and Springerville (1996-2010).
During his tenure as pastor in Portales he also taught Religion courses at Eastern New Mexico University and was instrumental in establishing the Presbyterian Campus House on the ENMU campus. While in Springerville, Jerry founded the White Mountain Ranchman's Camp Meeting Association which will hold its 14th annual meeting next week. Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years Lois V. Windsor; sons Jeff Windsor of Denton, Texas and Kenneth Windsor of Portales, N.M.; daughter Elizabeth McCallister of Springerville and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Windsor and son Phillip Windsor.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 5, at Community Presbyterian Church in Springerville. Burial followed at the Springerville Cemetery.
