DOUGLAS,
Lee Zoll
DOUGLAS, Lee Zoll, born to Lee and Myrtle Douglas in Fairmont, KS on January 9, 1921, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 after a long struggle with declining health.
Lee attended Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, played basketball and represented Baker in the 1941 NAIA Tournament. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during WWII. Lee is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and all of the saints who have gone on before him. Even at the end of his life, Lee was always seeking ways to benefit others.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sybil. He missed her deeply and was looking forward to being united with her again. Lee believed in wearing out rather than rusting out and never did retire. He maintained the local franchise of the Senti-Metal Bronzed Baby Shoe Company until the end of his life. His example of consistent effort and loving the Lord and his family will be remembered. Lee leaves two sons, Rick and Mark; as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services are planned for Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Pantano Baptist Church, 225 S. Pantano Rd., Tucson, AZ at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pantano Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
