PAGE,
Maxine E.
Maxine E. Page passed into the hands of her Lord on Friday, July 30, 2010, joining the love of her life, Milton M. Page. During her final hours, her loving daughters applied fresh nail polish to coordinate with her chosen outfit and a dab of her favorite perfume in preparation for her date with Milt after which she slipped peacefully away.
Maxine's adventure in life began on May 1, 1930, born to Maxwell and Edith Fritz in Cleveland, OH. After graduating from Orange High School in Pepper Pike, OH, she proceeded to live her life's adventures in California, Colorado and Arizona where she worked mostly as a customer service representative for Farmer's Insurance before retiring with Milt to travel most of the United States and Alaska, their favorite, in their motor home until Maxine was mostly confined to her home due to the devastation of peripheral neuropathy, diabetes and general health issues.
Surviving Maxine are her five children and three stepchildren, Michael (Cindy) Miklaus, Jeffry (Peggy) Miklaus and Timothy Sullivan, all of CA, as well as Laurine Bristow (AZ) and Lisa (David) Candelaria (NM), Allan (Nancy) Page (CA), Martha (Tom) Jones and Barbara Page of AZ. Among her treasures she counted 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maxine has a surviving sister, Myrna Peterson of Bremerton, WA and brother, Darrel Fritz (deceased).
Maxine will be missed. She always, always remembered her family with gifts and cards for birthdays, anniversaries and other important dates and holidays even when her health was greatly diminished and her pain was extraordinary. The Lord of Grace Lutheran Church was her chosen place of worship, where she was among the founding members. Maxine was especially grateful to her church friends who visited and comforted her during her long confinement at home and at The Villas at La Canada. She was fortunate to receive care with love and dignity from her special care-giving friends at the Villas and finally from Odyssey Hospice where both her family and she received kind care and support.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 9:00 a.m., SUNLAND MORTUARY, Sun City, AZ. followed by burial at the National Cemetery in Scottsdale
