WHITEHAIR, Gary

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, Aug 4th, 2010 Mr. Gary Whitehair, age 39 of St. Johns, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at his residence in St. Johns. Gary was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 10, 1971, the son of George and Mary (Upshaw) Whitehair. Gary was born at the Phoenix Indian Hospital on July 10, 1971. He was the firstborn to George and Mary Whitehair. Gary entered Kindergarten in 1976 and graduated from Alchesay High School in 1989. Gary worked at various jobs, but enjoyed his time in the legal field as a legal aide. He enjoyed taking pictures for the family and for special events. Gary was starting to take an interest in developing power point presentations and invitations on the computer. He was looking forward to moving back to Peridot with his parents. Gary enjoyed participating in his traditional sunrise dances and was starting to take an interest in making moccasins and other traditional arts and crafts. He was a lifetime resident of Arizona and was employed as an assistant manager for Fina Gas Station. Gary is survived by his parents, George and Mary Whitehair. A wake was held on Friday, July 30. Services were held on Saturday, July 31, at Rice School Gym in San Carlos, Arizona. Interment is at Lower Peridot - Six Mile Cemetery, in Peridot, Arizona. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary.
