Himebaugh, Corrine "Connie" Lee 83, of Phoenix, AZ, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 2, 2010. She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on October 15, 1926, to Mendel and Ann Westervelt. During WWII she trained and worked as a Cryptographic Clerk for G-2 in Washington, D. C.
While working there, she met Art Himebaugh, a U.S. Marine stationed in Quantico, Virginia and an Arizona native. They were married on August 26, 1946 in the Methodist Church in Scottsbluff, and they have been inseparable, loving companions for 64 wonderful years. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Debbie and Ted. Connie was a member of Valley Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and a Stephen Minister. She was a member of the PEO chapter T in Bisbee and D in Phoenix.
She was active in the Bisbee YWCA, a member of WAIME, and also a lifetime member of the Arizona Opera League. Connie was devoted to her family and friends and provided compassionate service to many in need throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband Arthur "Art" Himebaugh; daughter Deborah "Debbie" Wood; son Theodore "Ted" (Carla) Himebaugh; sisters Jo(David) Holaday, Billie Love and Greta Deines; brother Ted (Jeannie) Westervelt; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Barbara Durnal and Mickey Clayton.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, August 9th at Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ 85253
