MURPHY, John

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/23/2007 John Murphy, 75, died January 14, 2007 in Springerville. He was born Feb. 27, 1931 to Richard and Madyln Murphy in St. Louis, Miss. He served in the United States Navy Reserves for 8 years and then went to work in the transportation business as a trucker for Road Runner. Though not too social, John was a good husband and awesome father who loved his family and his God and trusted in Him. John is survived by his wife, Powetah Jah "PJ" Murphy; a son, John Richard (Julia) Murphy; and two daughters, Mary Christine (Michael) O'Donnell and Sandi Bunney; 35 grandchildren including Erin O'Donnell, K/Lee O'Donnell (granddaughters), Shawn Patrick Murphy, Joshua Murphy, Cody Craig (grandsons), and 14 great-grandchildren, Erin Trey Murphy, Sawyer Sabella Murphy (great-granddaughters) and Jack Grimm Murphy (great-grandson). A Rosary and Funeral service is to be announced at a later date. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar, handled the arrangements.
