EAGAR, Edwin (Papa)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/30/2007 Edwin Eagar, 65, died Jan. 25, 2007 at his home in Eagar. Edwin was born Nov. 3, 1941 to Ross and Ellen Eagar in Eagar. "Papa" loved his family and enjoyed all activities with them. He loved to fish at Roosevelt Lake and spent what time he could there. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed getting wood, spending time on the mountain and never missed his 2 p.m. appointment at Booga's with his brothers and friends. Edwin is survived by his wife Gloria Eagar of Eagar; daughter, Andrea Anderson of Eagar; sons Dustan E. (Cindy) Eagar of Eagar; and Brannon R. (Shannon) Eagar also of Eagar, nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, Lewis Eagar. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Marvin and Rodney Eagar. A visitation was held Jan. 28 at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center, 135 Main St. in Eagar. Interment followed at the Eagar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting contributions be made to RTA Hospice or The American Cancer Society. Burnham Mortuary in Eagar, handled arrangements.
