Marylene Lane passed away early July 13, 2010, at YRMC West after a long illness. She had lived in Prescott, Ariz., for more than 10 years. She was a recent member of the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.
Mary was born March 20, 1924. Marylene married Loyde Lane on April 1, 1942. In her earlier years, she and Lloyd toured in a band for about 10 years, for which she played the drums. They spent many years in Yarnell and Phoenix. Marylene also spent most of her life taking care of others. She loved fishing. She was a "Harvey Girl" for the Sante Fe rail line in Winslow, Ariz.
She is survived by her sister, Geneva Bengsten; brother Lee Springfield; stepdaughter Dixie; as well as many nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to thank her special friend and caregiver Don Frasier for his loving kindness during her long illness.
