Marie Hunziker Nuckolls, 105, died Aug. 7, at Jasmine House in Lake Havasu City.
Marie was born in Divernon, Ill., Nov. 3, 1904, the daughter of Jacob and Alice Jones Hunziker.
The family moved to New Berlin, Ill., when Marie was about 4 years old. She graduated from New Berlin High School. She married Kenneth E. “Red” Nuckolls. He died in 1964 in California. Marie lived in Burbank, Calif., for many years. She retired from Lockheed International. In 1994, she moved to Lake Havasu City.
Her husband and her parents preceded Marie in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene Joy; four brothers, Willie, J. Fred, Allen, and N. Ralph “Pete;” two nephews, Byron Hunziker and Robert Hunziker; and one niece, Betty Joy Yates.
She is survived by two nieces, Marialyce Hunziker Havey (husband Gary), of Springfield, and Marilyn Nuckolls Mason (husband Howard Sr.), of Lake Havasu City; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, and a cousin Melvin Walker, of Girard.
Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in North Hollywood Hills, Calif.
