BURNETTE, Mary D.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, AZ ~ September 11, 2007 Mary D. Burnette was born on Jan. 10, 1917, in Cedar Creek. She entered into rest Sept. 3, 2007, in Whiteriver. Mary is survived by her son, Hollis Burnette; daughters Julia Burnette, Lorraine Endfield, Eva Sands, Verlita Beatty and Wanda Burnette; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 39 great-great-grandchildren; sons-in-law Buster Beatty and Joe Sands; daughter-in-law Marie D. Burnette; and many relatives and friends. Mary's body was brought back to Buster and Verlita Beatty's residence in Whiteriver for a one-night wake Sunday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. A celebration of her life was held Monday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Cedar Creek with Pastor Martinez officiating. Interment was at the Red Hill Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
