OLANDER, Donald R, 1924 - 2010 The book of Don's life opened on November 3, 1924 in Lake Forest, Illinois and closed on July 25, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. He was the middle of three sons of Harry and Ethel Jenny Olander. His parents, as well as his brothers, Harry II and Robert Paul, predeceased him. He leaves his loving wife, Marilyn and his beloved sons, Christopher (Laura) and Timothy (Lynda), as well as his dear grandchildren, Donald Richard II and Tracy Genevieve. Don was immensely proud of his World War II service in the Army infantry, during which he was awarded a Bronze Star for valor. His family took him home to Illinois for Burial with military honors. Everyone who knew Don and loved him, miss him now, and will miss him always. The family is grateful to the good people at Casa de la Luz Hospice who cared for Don in his last days with such grace and compassion.
