Fred O. Valencia 89, passed away August 7, 2010. Survived by his wife, Socorro M. Valencia; daughters, Patricia Nuñez and Diane Gerardo (Martin Gerardo); granddaughter, Norina Nuñez (Nayef Aljahdali); great- grandchildren, Hamza and Maryam; brothers, Guillermo Valencia, Jess O. Valencia and Alfredo Valencia. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (Center Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will be offered, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Hope Mausoleum. A man of such kindness, we miss you. You're in our hearts forever. Thank you for being such a loving, caring and generous husband and father. You were our strength, our hope, our comfort, and our happiness. As a survivor of WWII his heroism and bravery earned him a Purple Heart, for that you have our highest respect. You're never forgotten. We love you and adore you.
