BREWER, Elwood M. (Buzz)

Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. - 08/12/2010 Elwood “Buzz” M. Brewer Sr. passed away at 76 years of age, on July 28, 2010 at his residence in Arbeso Terrace. He was a native to the Copper Basin area and will be sorely missed. Buzz was born on October 1, 1933 in Phoenix, to Tammy Callie, who later married Matt Brewer. He was raised in Winkelman, where he lived until the 1993 flood, which caused him to relocate to the Aravaipa area. He worked for both Kennecott and Asarco, for 38 years. He is survived by his son, Elwood M. Brewer Jr.; daughter-in-law, Koria Brewer; and granddaughter, Pasha Brewer. A Memorial will be held on August 12, at 10 a.m., at Griffith Mortuary in Kearny. All are invited to come and remember Buzz, one of Winkelman’s native sons.
