Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Raymond O. Hackerott, 76, passed away Sept. 4, 2008, at his home in Lake Havasu City with his family by his bedside. He was born June 7, 1932, in Osborne County, Kan., to Oscar and Ruth Hackerott and attended school and grew up in Osborne. From 1950-1954 Ray was enlisted in the Marine Corps and spent 18 months in Korea. He moved to California and worked with construction. Ray married Ila Mae Greig, from Osborne, on Feb. 24, 1961. Ray was a member of the Elks Lodge No.2399 for 25 years and VFW Post No. 8401. He loved his family and outdoor cooking. Ray had many friends and will be greatly missed. Ray is survived by his wife, Ila mae Grieg; three children, Pamela (Richard) Reyes, of Las Vegas, Nev., Tamra Kennedy, of Poway, Calif., and Robert Williams, of Las Vegas;. his brothers, Keith, Gary (Shirley), David (Susan), all of Osborne; sisters, Doris (Loury), of Osborne, Linda (Allen) Otte, of Downs, Kan; grandchildren, Reid, Kristian, and Destiny, of Las Vegas, and Tallie and Rylee, of Poway; along with many nieces and nephews.
