SADDLER, Edward (Ed)


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Edward "ED" Saddler passed away Friday, Sep. 12, 2008, at his home with his loving companion of 13 years, Marilyn Argus by his side. Ed was born June 8, 1944, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Edward and Inez Saddler. Ed graduated from Banning High School in San Pedro, Calif., in 1961. Ed worked with his father in the boat building business in Torrance, Calif., before getting in to Real estate in Escondido, Calif., which he spent 27 years doing. He also worked as a mortgage lender in Lake Havasu City and San Marcos, Calif. His love of the water was his joy. Ed spent many years on Catalina Island growing up boating, fishing and diving. One of Ed's main pleasures was boating and fishing on Lake Havasu. Ed was also member of the Elk's Lodge for 20 years. Ed is survived by his loving companion of 13 years, Marilyn Argus, his son, Tom (Dezirae) Saddler, of Valley Center, Calif., and Sharon of Escondido, Calif.; many good friends both here in Lake Havasu City, San Marcos and Escondido, all of whom will miss his friendship and personality. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Havasu, the fire department and paramedics for your compassion and dedication.
