Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Veronica "Vera" Hunter, 87, passed away Tuesday, Sep. 16, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born July 1, 1921, in Alloa, Scotland, to Frank and Mary (Buchannan) Conway. Vera moved to Lake Havasu City 19 years ago from Riverside, Calif. She worked as a payroll clerk for Boeing in Long Beach, Calif., for 10 years. Vera traveled the world. She would light up a room with her personality and sparkling beauty. Vera was loved very much by all who knew her and was the best in the world to her husband. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Vera is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Thomas Hunter; sons, T. Don Hunter and Ken Hunter, both of Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughter, Connie Jackson, of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Ann Marie, Tom, Ryan, Scott, Zack, Alex, Loren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings. A Celebration of Vera's life will be held on Saturday, at 2825 War Eagle Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86406, at 2 p.m., Her family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
