Maeser "Mego" Lund died July 31, 2010, Phoenix. He was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Eagar born, one of 16 children to his loving momma and papa William Lund and Lucinda M. (Lee) Lund.
Mego was a cowboy, and a child of God. He was baptized in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Maeser was an army veteran of WWII serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Aleutian Islands as Staff Sergeant Mess Cook where he enjoyed serving others. After leaving the military honorably, he worked a block layer with John F. Long and also worked in Williams. He was an avid Suns and D-Backs fan who could always be heard saying "Come on Boys." "I love you Mego, We Love you Dad, We Love you Grandpa, We will miss you!"
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Marie C. (Pouquette) Lund, two children Therese M. (Lund) Holloway and Joseph W. Lund; two grandchildren Lisa M. Leeds and Heath A. Holloway and one great-grandchild Harley A. Holloway.
Funeral arrangements to be determined.
Cremation Society of Arizona is handling arrangements.
