Gary W. Corn, age 65, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Oakdale, Louisiana, the son of Dorothy and Charlie Corn.
Gary served in the National Guard and served as a volunteer fireman for the Miami Fire Department. His hobbies were putting model cars together; he liked to draw pictures and was very good at it; and racing his car #66 at the Globe-Miami Speedway. He loved to watch car racing on TV. His favorite racer was #3, Dale Earnhardt. He also loved his Elvis and Patsy Cline music.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Charlie Corn.
Gary leaves behind in loving memory his wife of 43 years, Lupe Medrano Corn of Globe, Arizona; one daughter, Tina Corn of Globe, Arizona; two sons, Gary (Dayna) Corn of Globe, Arizona and Michael Corn of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Jackie Alexander of Globe, Arizona; and eight grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, Kristen, Lance, Jacob, Christopher, Shyanne and Austin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan Street, Miami, Arizona. Rosary will be Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.
