Edward F. “Eddie” Erb, 84, of Globe passed away on Aug. 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 18, 1926 in Erie, Pennsylvania, he came to Arizona in 1944, and went to work for the Valley National Bank in Phoenix.
After two years of military service, the bank sent him to the Miami branch, where he was Assistant Manager. In 1964, he went to work for Inspiration Copper Co. and worked there until retiring. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the Elks, VFW and American Legion. He served as Exalted Ruler of the Miami Elks Lodge in 1968-1969 and later served as Secretary and Treasurer of the AZ State Elks Association.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Caryl; his sister-in-law, Joan Zehr; nephews, Andrew and Matthew Zehr; niece, Lisa Bowen; great nephews, Davy Bowen and Brennan Zehr; great nieces, Lindsay Lewis, Andrea Bowen and Chrysta Zehr; and great-great, nephew Trevor Bowen.
Memorial services will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Globe.
