Ronald Edward Lockhart (Ron) Our beloved husband, father and hero passed to eternal life on August 9, 2010. Born on May 21, 1942 in Buchanan, Virginia, and raised in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
Ron moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1960. There he worked as General Manager at Alderman Datsun and established his own dealership, Lockhart Ford-Mercury, in Middletown, DE. Ron served on the Board of Directors of The Ford Dealer Council, the Better Business Bureau for the State of Delaware, and Saint Elizabeth's High School. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner with the Nur Temple. Ron also loved racing cars (#53) in the IMSA Series.
Ron moved to Arizona in 1986. He worked in automobile sales and ultimately as a mortgage consultant. He coached Little League baseball, with great joy, for many years and served on the Board of Directors of Canyon View Little League. Ron is survived by his wife, Constance; children, Clay, Coltere, Alexandra and Morgan; brother, Wayne (Vickie) Lockhart and sisters, Mitzi Lockhart and Darline (Kurt) Whaley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pauline Lockhart. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. A graveside blessing will follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Benefit Memorial Account at Wells Fargo for Ronald Lockhart. We love you Sweetheart, Dad. You were always the best. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
