RUFFNER, Violet Marie

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Violet Marie Ruffner died on Sept. 2, 2008, in Poway, Calif., after falling ill on a visit. She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Saint Louis, Ill., to George and Viola Caniff. Violet worked for many years as a real estate agent. She was licensed in Washington State and California. Violet enjoyed traveling in the motor home with her husband and cat. She visited nearly every state, as well as a long trip to Alaska. She enjoyed singing and was a member of choirs in several areas. She was also an avid bowler and bowled in leagues in California and Arizona. She was a member of the Elks and Eagles. Violet is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Patrick, of Poway; grandson, Michael, of Westminster, Colo.; and granddaughter, Miel, of Temecula, Calif. There will be no services.
