Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 3, 2008 11:47 AM MST Patricia Stone resident of Lake Havasu City passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Havasu Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 13, 1918, to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McClure of Woonsocket R.I. Pat was an employee of the Civil Air Transport operated by Claire L. Chennault, former commander of the wartime Flying Tigers from 1947 until their return to the states in 1952. Pat is survived by her sister, Barbara Hartnett; brother-in-law, Edward Hartnett, of Lake Havasu City; four nieces and one nephew, all in other areas. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Stone and moved to Lake Havasu City in 1999 after the death of her husband from Texas where she began her dog sitting business and had a thriving clientele who were like family to her. Her favorite pastime was her poker club where she had many friends. She was an avid bridge player also. Pat leaves behind her many friends and furry friends whom she loved dearly, especially her Amber. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
