Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 3, 2008 Joyce Holten (Olson) 'Suse', of Lake Havasu City, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, under the care of the Davis House in Bullhead City. She was born June 3, 1929, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., to Edwin and Emma Olson. After graduating from Parkers Prairie High School, Joyce moved with her husband, Raymond Holten to Perham, Minn., where they raised three daughters and many pets. She worked for Dr. Russell Johnson as a dental assistant for 15 years. Her many interests included golfing, hiking, tanning, traveling and reading. She enjoyed children immensely and always had time to have a cup of coffee with friends and family. She was an adventurer who put people before things. A deeply spiritual person, Joyce traveled to Haiti in 1976. She used her skills as a dental assistant to help the Haitian people. In 1978 she moved to Lake Havasu City. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George. Joyce is survived by her brothers and sister, Arthur, Carmon, Harris, Arch, and Verna; her daughters, Deborah Loftsgard, of Phoenix, Vicki Piatt, of Lake Havasu City, and Jill Corrigan, of Pebble Beach, Calif.; her grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Jennifer, Austin, Kelly and six great grandchildren.
