Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, September 3, 2008 James “Jim” Wilson, 85, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born June 28, 1923 in Rison, Ark. Jim and his wife, Peggy, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1989 from Southern California. He was a proud veteran in the U.S. Air Force, serving in WWII as a crew member and radio operator. Jim was an active member of the Elks Lodge, serving as an officer for six terms with the last year as an Exalted Ruler, a charter member of the Eagles, and a member of the American Legion. Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy; daughter, Deborah; four grandchildren, Jimmy, Jason, Joey and Mandy; great grandchildren, Jason Jr. and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deidre in November of 2007. Memorial services are pending. Condolences and thoughts can be made to his family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
