Bisbee Observer 29 April 1999 William E. Pope Jr., 78, died April 17, 1999, at home in Bisbee. Bill had lived in Arizona for 13 years, coming from California. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He served for almost 24 years during his career. He is preceded in death by son, Michael, in 1985, and by hi wife, Jane, in 1990. Bill is survived by his son, William Patterson Pope of Washington; daughter, Susan Pope of California; sister, Williebeal Hawkins of Bisbee; daughter-in-law, Kitty Koo of New York; three grandchildren, Prudence, Nathaniel, and Benjamin. Private family services had been selected. Arrangements were by Bisbee/San Pedro Funeral Homes.
