BEACHLEY, Mildred

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Tuesday, August 17, 2010 Mildred Beachley, 96, formerly of Winslow, died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Webb's Adult Care in Snowflake. Mrs. Beachley previously had resided at Padilla's Care Center for 13 years following the death of her husband, George. There are no known surviving relatives. Until her health failed, she loved to attend services at the First Baptist Church of Winslow and exemplified the "widow's mite" in supporting her church. Although communication was sometimes difficult for her in later years, her ever-present smile left no doubt of her love for Jesus and for others. She suffered a major health problem recently that would normally require surgery, but her doctors felt she was a poor risk for surgery. When asked if she wanted to have the surgery, or just go on and meet Jesus face-to-face, she clearly indicated she was ready and anxious to see Jesus. Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Greer's Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Fred Harris of the First Baptist Church will lead the service. Visitation is at 2:30; no graveside service is planned. No flowers please; give an extra gift to the church of your choice in her memory. Condolences can be sent to www.greers mortuary.com.
