Grace Lee Farmer, 81 of Show Low, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 at the RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Lakeside.
She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Guymon, Okla., to William and Grace Lee (Hutchison) Lawson. She grew up and attended school in Sherman, Texas, graduating from high school in 1944. Following school she owned a movie theater and she operated it for about 20 years. She then went to work for a women's clotherie in Amarillo, Texas. In 1995 she moved to Apache Junction to retire. In 2000 she moved to Show Low. Mrs. Farmer was an active member of The Church of Christ for the past 69 years. She enjoyed painting Native American Porcelain Dolls, piano and the keyboard.
Grace is survived by her husband, Bruce Farmer of Show Low; children, Vicki Young and Bobby Kunkle of Amarillo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmey; and two sisters, Mary Bruce and Nell Burke.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the High Country Church of Christ in Show Low.
