Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, Aug 18th, 2010 Jean L. Toot, 64, of Heber, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low. She was born Feb. 15, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Bryon and Nellie Pooler. She was raised in Missouri and Ladysmith and Tony, Wisconsin. She moved to Sunnyslope, Arizona at age 15 and attended Paradise Valley High School. She graduated from Payson High School in 1964. She was married to George Toot on Feb. 29, 1964, at Payson. After a year in Payson they moved to California, spending six months in Redding before moving to Phoenix in 1966. She worked for 25 years for Valley National Bank in Phoenix, which became Bank One, retiring in 1998. Following retirement, they came to Heber where she worked for National Bank of Arizona in Overgaard and Frontier Bank (Community), retiring two years ago. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed gardening, reading and visiting with her children and grandchildren and taking care of her family. Survivors include her husband, George; a daughter, Donna Jean Smith and husband Kevin of Austin, Texas; two sons, George (Julie) Toot, Jr. of Queen Creek and John (Teresa) Toot of Phoenix; two brothers, Bryon Pooler of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Frank Pooler of Tony, Wisconsin; eight sisters, Carolyne Tate of Gilman, Wisconsin, Doris McFarland of Exland, Wisconsin, Margo Emmert of Florence, Arizona, Janie Oliver of Florence, Shirley Piper of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Pamela Willoughby of Bruce, Wisconsin, Naomi Oosting of Missouri and Toni Rinehart of Selma, Alabama; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 3048 Hwy 277, Overgaard, AZ.
