Mrs. Wally Muecke, 72, mother of U.S. District Judge Carl Muecke of Phoenix, died Monday in a nursing home here.

Mrs. Muecke, 1707 W. Heatherbrae Drive, came to the United States from her native Germany when she was 14. She moved to Phoenix three years ago from New York. 

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Whitney and Murphy Chapel, 330 N. Second Ave. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Gregory's Catholic Church, 3426 N. 18th Ave. Burial will be in
St. Francis Cemetery. 

Another son, Robert J. of North Stamford, Conn.; a sister Mrs. Mary von Burg of Detroit,Mich.; a brother, Frank Roeder of New York; and five grandchildren survive.
