DANIELSON, Lawrence W. (Larry)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 7, 2007 Lawrence W. "Larry" Danielson, 75, of Overgaard died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Infinia of Show Low. Larry was born April 29, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Carl and Harriet (Atwell) Danielson. He was reared and attended school in Des Moines. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years. During the same time he owned and operated a tackle shop and a tavern. He retired and moved to Casa Grande in 1987 and moved to Overgaard in 2004. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended Grace Fellowship in Overgaard and was a member of American Legion Post 86 in Overgaard. Survivors include his wife, June; four daughters, Linda Tucker of Story, Iowa, Cheryl Malson (Walt) of Bondurant, Iowa, Donna Ehlerd and Sherry Kirkman (Tom), both of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Betty Rinard (Galen) of Des Moines, Iowa; five brothers, Lee Roy (Vi) and Lyle (Kriss) Danielson, both of Des Moines, Iowa, Raymond (Mary Lou) Danielson of Carlsbad, N.M., Bill (Karen) Danielson of Mesa and John Danielson of Phoenix; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A Viewing was held Dec. 4 at Grace Fellowship in Overgaard with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Totty officiating.
