Robert Joseph Pena Sr. died Nov. 21, 2007. Bob was born Aug. 1, 1943, in Morenci.
Bob worked in several capacities, notably copper and uranium mining, law enforcement and power generation. He shared his love of playing and coaching baseball/softball and track. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and all sports. Above all, Bob could be found always making a new friend as he didn't meet a stranger. Bob will be missed dearly. "Vaya con Dios."
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted G. Pena, mother Irene B. Pena and stepfather Joe S. Pena; sister Mary Alice, and brothers Edward and David.
Bob is survived by his wife and friend of 40 years, MaryAnn; daughter Cynthia; granddaughter Kiah; son Robert Jr., (AnnMarie), grandchildren Tiffany, Robert III and Kimberly; daughter Amber (Louie) and children Karlene, Marcus and Xavier; brothers Ted, Pete, Jimmy and Joey; sisters Virginia, Frances, Thelma, Millie, Karlene and Jackie; best friend Ken; and numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends, whom he loved very much.
Memorial services were held at Community Church for New Thought in Mesa Nov. 30.
