The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 7, 2007 Rosa L. Mason of Taylor died Nov. 20, 2007. She was born to Marjorie and Larkin Parish Feb. 17, 1924, in Sulphur Rock, Ark. Rosa was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She was a grandmother or mother to everyone who knew her. She loved to read and watch Hallmark TV. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She loved to watch her great-grandchildren play while she was on her walker and always had candy in her pocket for them. She was married to Archie Mason for 51 years and had four children: three daughters, Mary (Bob) Holfeltz, of Taylor, Barbara (Walt) Eccles of Snowflake and Coline Hughes, and one son, Archie Johnny Lee (Twila) Mason of Snowflake. She also is survived by six grandchildren, Twila Lee Ann Mason, Roberta Deanna Holfeltz, Troy William Holfeltz, Dustin John Mason, Joshua Gale Hughes and Michael John Bynum Hughes; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, and daughter Coline. She was buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix beside her dear husband Archie. Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
